Olympians and 2013 World Champions rowers will be competing on the Witham on Saturday.

Team GB will host their second winter assessment, once again hosted by Boston Rowing Club.

Current team members and hopefuls will compete over a 5km course.

Members of the World Champion men’s eight, including Olympic gold medallists Andrew Triggs Hodge, Pete Reed and Alex Gregory, will compete in pairs, while the 2013 men’s sculling World medallists, Graeme Thomas, Charles Cousins and Peter Lambert, will race in singles, as will World single scull finalist Alan Campbell.

Also taking part will be Britain’s World Champion women’s pair of Helen Glover and Polly Swann.

They will be pitted against each other in singles along with all the open weight women’s squad, including members of the women’s double and eight who so narrowly missed a medal in Korea in August.

Performance director, Sir David Tanner, chief coaches Jurgen Grobler (men) and Paul Thompson (women and lightweights) will keep a keen eye on the proceedings.

The top names from the 2013 squad will be joined in Boston by the winners of the November Assessment.

Olympic Champion Kat Copeland will also compete.

Action begins at 1pm.
