Graves Park B were unable to muster a full team when they visited Penmaen in Division One of the Boston Table Tennis League.

And that only aided Derek Wood, Alan Ashberry and Peter Munch as they recorded a 10-0 success.

Penmaen then beat Sibsey with another comprehensive 10-0 success.

Steve Hill took sets out of Derek Wood and Peter Munch, and Richard Hill went to deuce in the third end against Derek, whilst Wayne Grooby did likewise against Alan Ashberry, but this was the limit of Sibsey’s achievements on the night.

Graves Park B entertained their A team, knowing that a victory would potentially take them out of the relegation positions.

However, they suffered a 6-4 defeat.

Mike Freeston (two), Alan Reetham and Mick Maltby gave the B some hope going into the doubles, even if Rob Smith (three), Phil Brooks and Matt Lilley had given the A a 5-4 lead.

However, Rob and Phil combined to claim victory against Mick and Mike.

Graves Park C beat Lodgers E 10-0.

Graham Walters endured a titanic struggle against Trev Blackbourn, Graham eventually winning 14-12 in the fifth end.

Meanwhile, teammates Martin Walters and James Quinton also came through unscathed against Boyd Smith and Scott Sykes.
