Pigeon season off to a flyer

TWO of the top partnerships in Boston were well prepared for the new pigeon racing season.

Carl Upsall and Trevor Frost had the fastest bird into town as they took the first two places in Boston Central RPC, plus two more places in the first six.

John Hardy and John Burt were hot on their heels with the winner of Boston and District FC, where they started with a one-two-three on Saturday.

The Upsall-Frost winner was a widowhood cock bird which has previous wins from Dunbar and Whitley Bay, and was bred by the late Frank Tasker.

Birds were liberated from Bubwith in a cold north east wind, and results were:
