Pigeons in a flap to get home

DARIUSZ Pelka returned to winning ways with Boston Central Racing Pigeon Club when they were competing from Whitley Bay on Saturday, just beating Brian and Angie Garnham, winners of Boston and District Flying Club, to have the fastest birds into town.

The pigeons were in a hurry, speeding home, with north wind assistance, at more than 60 miles per hour.
