A quartet from Boston Tennis Club have helped Lincolnshire Men’s team win promotion to level three of the Aegon Winter County Cup.
The Sleaford Road Club hosted a group match in the nationwide competition, which saw them pitted against opponents from West of Scotland, Buckinghamshire and Bedfordshire.
And Boston’s Joe Woolley, Will Mason, Dominic Beesley and Henry Beesley were part of the side which earned the county back-to-back promotions, following last year’s ascendency to level four.
The group matches were played from Friday to Sunday and on each day each team played six singles rubbers and three doubles.
Day one saw Lincolnshire beat West of Scotland 6-3 and a 5-4 victory over Bedfordshire followed on day two.
Victory over Buckinghamshire on Sunday would ensure promotion, and Lincolnshire earned that in style - winning 8-1.
Woolley missed the first day of the competition because he had reached the semi-finals of the Aegon Junior International in Liverpool.
In the first round, Woolley defeated the number-four seed before progressing all the way to the semis, missing out 4-6 in the third set to Dan Little, the eventual runner-up.
