A four-man Am-Am was held at Boston Golf Club on Sunday.

The betterball medal saw the best two scores count off a three-quarter handicap.

In first place on 16 under par with a nett 128 were R. Allen, W. Griffin, R. Ford and J. Wood.

In second place were G. Sharp, G. Tillman, A. Malkinson and I. Humpries with nett 134.

Boston Golf Club’s Ladies’ Section saw Barbara Unwin, Liz Harris and Jean Markham win the latest competition.

Eight teams of three set out with an allocated colour for each player.

Not until the ball was putted out did the player know which one of them would be scoring.

The colour in the hole was random and meant either one, two or all three in the team had to score.

Barbara, Liz and Jean won with 33 stableford points.

In second place were Ruth Simpson, Ruth Street and Chris Sherriff with 32 points.

In third with 31 points were Pam King, Ann Hodgson and Kathy Stanley.
