Although there were only three riders in his class, the Wrangle youngster was using the event to test his new engine out ahead of next season and an assault on the Scunthorpe Winter Series.

After a tough start in heat one, with a laydown while leading, 12-year-old Mickie went on to take four wins.

His previous best time around the Lynn track was 77.3 secs.

This weekend he posted a couple of 75-second laps but then posted a 73.9 and a 73.2 time, beating his previous best by 4.1 secs while taking the overall victory.

After the main meeting the youth also took part in the Joe Burdekin Memorial Meeting in honour of a long-serving club member and rider.

After Reece Sharp pulled out after a big fall in the previous round it was down to Mickie and Jake Mullford to put on a show.
