Nineteen Boston youngsters have been selected to represent Lincolnshire in the East Midlands Regional Sportshall Athletics Championships.
They will compete at Grantham on January 19 against teams from Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire and Northamptonshire.
In the under 15 boys’ championship, Blake Garwell, William Swain, Keiran Pickwell, Thomas Johnson and Nicolas Hart have been called up to the seven-strong county team.
The under 15 girls’ team - also made up of seven competitors - includes Laura Van Lier, Hermione Wright and Natalia Wencel, with Sophie Reader named as first reserve.
The selected 12-strong under 13 boys’ team includes Daniel Bradshaw, Kieran Duncan-Johal, William Wright, Ronald Kiseliev, Kirils Mustermans, Harry Hopkins and Joseph McGarel.
Lucy Gedney has been chosen to compete at under 13 girls’ level with Joanna Gedney named as first reserve.
Macey Andrews is the sole local representative in the under 11s section.
Selected Lincs team members and reserves will have a practice event at Boston and District AC’s B-Hive on Sunday.
The programme starts at 10am, giving all age groups the opportunity to get in some preparation for the regional championships.
