Boston racer Mark Richardson is preparing for a shorttrack race with a difference - it’ll be indoors.

He is competing at the Arena UK equestrian centre at Grantham tomorrow (Thursday).

Mark will be defending the mini-bike title he won at the last indoor meeting in Essex two years ago, and has also qualified for the main event.

There he will be riding a CRF450 Honda, following a recent practice and qualifying event at the venue.

Richardson will line up alongside the top 10 finishers from 2012 Shorttrack championship, plus a host of guest riders that include Kirton’s British Supersport ace Ben Wilson, Gosberton’s speedway star Simon Lambert and former British Superbike rider Steve Plater, together with stars of road racing, Supermoto and speedway.

The racing takes place in the main indoor arena, which is normally used for show jumping.

With up to nine riders in a race and lap times of around 10 seconds, the racing will be fast, frantic and exciting.
