Riding the storm! The Wheelers faced a tough test in Shropshire

Three young Boston Wheelers riders braved Storm Desmond to compete in Newport, Shropshire, in the Midland Regional Cyclo-Cross Championships.

Jael Maw and Connor Wilkinson competed in the under 10s, but were gridded on the back row, leaving them a lot of catching up to do.

Sam Trotter had two crashes out on course but rode hard to finish 14th out of 40 in the under 14s.

Wheelers members have been in action at round five of the Lincolnshire Cyclo Cross Association Leagueat Nettleham.

Cassey Rook placed 12th in the under 12s boys and Martin White was 13th in the veterans (50+).

Round six, at RAF Cranwell, saw 11 Wheelers taking part in the first frosty event of the season, where temperatures barely hit 4C throughout

In round seven, at Scunthorpe, a small representation competed.
