Rowers reap the regatta rewards

Boston Rowing Club took 18 entries to the Cambridge Autumn Regatta to wrap up their season.

Racing started at 8am and by 5pm 13 of the 18 entries had made it to finals.

The 600m course saw victories for Ruby and Jasmine Latka (WJ15 2x, Division A), James Toynton and Alex Leverage (J14 2x), Bunty Blanshard (WJ15 1x), Ted Pitman (J15 1x), Bunty Blanshard and Maddie Lambe (WJ15 2x, Division B) and Bea Ashton, Harriet Housam, Hannah Futter and Emma Feerick, coxed by Jasmine Latka (WIM2 4+).

There was also success for a WIM3 8+ composite which teamed up with Putney High School.

Quite a few finals were decided by less than five feet, including the IM3 4x, J15 4x+, WJ16 4x+ & J16 2x.

The J15 2x of Archie Bulman and Hugh Cadle had their first race in a double and were right in contention to win until the final 10 strokes.

TOP: The Latka twins, Ruby and Jasmine, were among the Boston RC members to earn victories in Cambridge.

BOTTOM: The J14 2x duo of James Toynton and Alex Leverage also claimed victory.
