CHARLIE Bonner has added silverware to his trophy cabinet, competing at this weekend’s Wheelchair basketball Junior League Championship play-offs.
The Kirton youngster helped his Newark Jaguars side to runners-up spot on Saturday.
The event is the culmination of the season for Junior League.
The top two teams from each division, plus the two closest third-placed teams met at Sheffield’s All Saints Sports Centre.
Charlie’s Jaguars were in pole position as winners of the Central Division League title.
The first match was a quarter-final against the Wakefield Whirlwinds, which saw the Jaguars post a convincing 34-14 win, putting them through to a Semi-final against the Capital City Mets.
The well-organised Jaguars came out on top, winning 22-11.
In the final, the Jaguars came up against the Norwich Lowriders, who had finished second to the Jaguars in the Central Division on goal difference. Charlie opened the scoring for the Jaguars, but the game one match too far, Norwich winning 22-11.
