Simpson is off the Mark in darts league

THERE was plenty of action in the individual darts leagues this week...

Boston Standard

Premier Division

MARK Simpson is the early leader after two rounds.

On Friday he earned a 4-1 win over Paul Hutter, who was making his debut in the Premier Division.

A good seven-legger saw Debra Royal and Darren Aucote both hit 180s, but Darren had the edge in the final leg.

Paul Grainger beat Derek Johnson 4-2 before a Kev Lenton got the better of Mick Flynn, hitting a 180 on his way to a 4-1 victory.

Graham Sharp hit a 180 and a 16-darter as he beat Dan Flynn 4-1.

Lincs Racing

Division One

KEV Dickinson and got the better of Ben Leadbetter, winning 4-1.

There were several 4-1s, with Darren Blyth beating Redvers Dickinson and Rob Scrupps beating Jimmy Birtwhistle by the same score.

Neil Panther did enough to beat Luke Everitt 4-2.

John Smith’s Heineken UK

Division Two

JOHN Vear and Dennis Turner produced a good battle at the oche.

The two matches each other before John took a 3-1 victory.

Carl Billy Baily and Amanda Walsh were invoilved in another tight game.

The deciding fifth leg was won by Amanda.

Mel Leadbeater faced Louise Willacombe in another close game, the latter winning 3-2.

Di Hunt stormed into a 2-0 lead against Mary Ryan, before winning 3-1.

Bob Birtwhistle beat Sophie Marston 3-0 before yet another tight match.

John Vear and Amanda Walsh returned to the oche.

John was left ruing missed chances as Amanda won 3-2.
