Skinner is crowned Boston Golf Club champion

Michael Skinner won a rain-soaked play-off to be crowned Boston Golf Club Champion.

After two indifferent days weather-wise there were some great scores and performances.

However, the overall title was settled in the pouring rain as Skinner faced Andrew Green in a play-off.

They had tied on 150 after Greene carded two rounds of 75 and Skinner recorded 73 and 77.

The play off went to the second hole in sudden death, where Skinner won the hole to be crowned Club Champion.

Skinner also won the Killick Trophy with the best gross of 73.

Josh Payne was third on 155 (77, 78).

Seb Hiom won the Rabbits’ section and the Best Nett off the weekend was won by Kav Williamson with a nett 128.

The Seniors’ Champion was Steve Hodgson (nett 148) who beat Nev Kemp. In third on countback was E. Koslow (149).
