Boston Wheelers seniors competed at Sleaford Wheelers’ charity 10-mile Time Trial on Saturday.
Darren Smith (pictured) brought the field home in 23mins 10secs, closely followed by last year’s club champion Adrian Marshall (23-16).
Other times were: Nick Chapman 24-57, Ian Scott 26-50, Pete Flint 27-17.
The Wheelers’ junior Green Team took the first Spalding Go-Ride Racing event by storm, also on Saturday.
The event was a combination of three disciplines, a time trial, skills course and cyclo cross.
Scores were combined to provide an overall points placing, with the Wheelers providing six of the top nine places in the under eights category with Thomas Smith in first and Jael Maw in second (first girl).
Other placings were Lewis Self (fifth), Oliver Carr (seventh), Kye Rook (eighth) and Harry Lovell (ninth).
In the under 10s, Cassey Rook was a very creditable sixth, William Norris eighth, debutant Francesca Lavery and James Lovel 12th equal, Harry Self 14th and Connor Wilkinson 15th.
Bradley Worth continued to show he is a talent for the future with an outstanding first place in the under 12s ride.
He is still only 10 years old and racing against more experienced, older competitors.
David Scott, in his first competition, was fourth in the under 14s.
The first two places were taken by two riders from the British Cycling Olympic Talent Team.
