Speedway will make a return to Boston... for one night only.

This weekend, a reunion of the Boston Barracudas will be held at the town centre’s Waterfront pub.

Throughout the 70s and 80s, speedway was the town’s number one spectator sport during the glory days at New Hammond Beck Road.

Plenty of ex-riders have vowed to be in attendance, along with former promoter Cyril Crane and many fans who want to rub shoulders with the fomer riders.

David Gagen, Peter Frammingham, David Blackburn, Jack Bywaters, Tony Featherstone, Colin Cook, Rob Mouncer, Ray Bales, Michael Holding and Rob Hollingsworth are am ong those who have said they will attend.

Videos of old races will be shown, along with a number of old photos and clippings on display from the Boston Barracudas’ heyday.

The event begins at 6pm.
