Spence and Hulley win Kirton Holme’s JP Trophy

The JP Trophy winners at Kirton Holme Golf Club were Dave Spence and Phil Hulley, who carded nett 67.

The runners-up were Terry Slade and Paul McCartney with nett 67.

In third place were Matthew Turner and Dave Mason with nett 71.

Kirton Holme’s Men’s team - Barry Carter, Shane Rowett, Rene Sweere and Dave Spence - finished third in the Rita Hurst Salver, the Nine Hole Club’s Trophy played at Sutton Bridge Golf Club.

Spence came third in the individual competition while the salver was won by Sudbrook Moor Golf Club.

Darren Gaunt won the October Tigers’ Medal.

He carded a gross 83, nett 66, but needed countback to see off the threat of second-placed Simon Horton, who was second with a gross 72, nett 66.

In third was Nick Coupland with a gross 82, nett 66.

Doug Pearson won the October Rabbits’ medal with a gross 88, nett 67 with Gareth Epton second on countback with a gross 89, nett 69 and Denis Barnet third with a gross 91, nett 69.

David Mowbray won the October Stableford with 36 points.

In second was Simon Horton (35) and John Heather came third (34).
