Spike is top rod at Westwood Lakes

Spike Milligan was the top rod at Westwood Lakes’ Tuesday Open last week.

Twenty-seven anglers took part in the match on Skylark Lake, with the majority using pellet and maggot.

Milligan (Lincs County) landed a haul of 163lb 14oz from peg 29, with Matthew Parkin second and Janusz Kedzierski third.

Results: 1 Spike Milligan (Lincs County) peg 29 – 163lb 14oz, 2 Matthew Parkin (Kamasan Starlets) peg 35 – 152lb 4oz, 3 Janusz Kedzierski (Westwood Lakes) peg 15 – 145lb 6oz, 4 Greg Cooper (Trentmen) peg 11 – 138lb 2oz.

Roy Wells won Thursday’s Over 50s Open on Sylark Lake.

Wednesday’s Open on Swallow Lake was won by Matthew Parkin.

Results: 1 Matthew Parkin (Kamasan Starlets) peg 28 – 64lbs 8oz, 2 Roy Wells (Westwood Lakes) peg 17 – 62lbs 10oz, 3 Alan Coupland (Westwood Lakes) peg 25 – 45lbs 10oz.

Tony Evans was top rod at this Sunday’s Open.

Anglers were competing on Swallow Lake.

Results: 1 Tony Evans (Dynamite Baits) peg 5 – 114lbs, 2 Brendon Strowlger (Westwood Lakes) peg 4 – 59lbs 8oz, 3 Ty Brian (Westwood Lakes) peg 17 – 58lb 12oz.
