Boston Squash Club members have been crowned county champions.
David Stones and Mark Hildred both retained their Yellowbelly titles over the weekend at the Lincolnshire Championships, hosted by the Rosebery Avenue club.
In the over 55s men’s category, Stones beat Stamford’s Mark Davies 9-4, 9-2, 9-3 in the final.
It was his third over 55s title.
However, Stones couldn’t make it a double.
In the final of the men’s over 45s competition he came up against clubmate Hildred.
Hildred won the final in straight sets, recording a 9-2, 9-2, 9-3 success to win the title for the fourth time.
There were more successes for Boston as Ady Proctor reached the over 35s final.
However, he lost out to Deeping’s John Hand (11-5, 13-11, 12-10).
The combined Plate final was an all-Boston affair with Jason Hadland facing John Secker.
Hadland won the match 11-7, 7-11, 11-4, 12-14, 13-11 in a closely-contested five setter.
