BOSTON and District School Sport Partnership recently arranged a volleyball development day.

After arriving at the Princess Royal Sports Arena in Boston, the year 5 and 6 pupils completed various volleyball related mini activities to enable them to pick up and experience a new and dynamic sport.

The pupils took part in a mini tournament to put into practice the skills they had learnt during the development session.

By the end of the day all pupils were able to compete and assist with the officiating.

From the progress made, Quadring A and Quadring B will now go through to the county final in March 2011 to represent Boston.

Carla Burdall, School Sport Coordinator, said: “This is the first time pupils have had the opportunity to play volleyball in a competitive environment.

“The pupils really enjoyed themselves and good luck to all those who will take part in the county finals.”
