l Woodhall 30 (2) Eastenders 55 (4): THIRD-bottom Woodhall picked up the first points against leaders Eastenders in nine outings. Enders’ Keith Tointon, Adrian Field and Jonathan West won 38-6 as Woodhall’s Richard Whitaker, John Riches and Tom Richardson replied 24-17.

l Holland Fen 49 (6) Cosmos 25 (0): HOLLAND Fen had no problems defeating Cosmos with scores of 28-15 and 21-10.

l Jolly Farmers 22 (0) Invaders 40 (6): INVADERS took all the points as George Philips, Peter Hoyles and Scott Whyers (27-10) and Rod West, Sandra Tebbs and Ian Tebbs (13-12) were successful.

l Royal Mail 32 (0) Carlton Road 39 (6): CARLTON Roads skips Geoff Parker and Chris Gill won 20-15 and 19-17 to see off Royal Mail.

l IBC 37 (0) A40 41 (6): IBC put up a good fight but ended pointless against A40’s Lewis Skinner, Gill Grant and Jean Cammack (20-19) and Sheila King’s rink (21-18).

l Strollers 34 (2) Swineshead 37 (4): LEADERS Swineshead just held off the challenge of Strollers as John Craft, Joan Mews and Freddy Scrupps won 25-10. Strollers’ Bernard Woods, Alan Westrup and Mick Hippisley replied 24-12.

l Punchbowlers 41 (4) Parthians 34 (2): CYN Bush, Malcolm McNeish and Tony Bush won 32-14 to earn Punchbowlers four points. Parthians’ Pete Bedford, Albert Bachelor and Phil Sharp responded 20-9.

l Kirton Town 36 (4) Breakaways 34 (2): KIRTON, in second, earned four points as Dorothy Hawkesworth won 21-8 while Breakaways’ John Marshall, John Whyers and Pauline Richardson had a success of 26-15.

l Halfpints 30 (1) Golfers 32 (5): SECOND-bottom Halfpints won point against Golfers as John Swain tied with Dave Gill 16-16. Norman Amblard’s 16-14 won the extra points.

l Feathers 33 (4) Patriarchs 29 (2): FEATHERS’ Brain Simpson, Fleur Simpson and Geoff Dawson powered to a 24-10 win for four points. Patriarchs’ Chris Bristow, Alan Woods and Alan Bristow responded 19-9.

l Norprint 53 (6) Boston Park 28 (0): NORPRINT were to strong for Boston Park, sscores of 25-12 and 28-16 securing the points for skips Barry Barton and Chris Avison.

l Crowns 36 (3) Amateurs 36 (3): THE top-of-the table clash between Amateurs and the Crowns saw the game tied. Crowns’ Lee and Graham Mulholland, with Peter Copeland, won 22-10 but replying for the Amateurs, Olive Fenner, Jim Fenner and Mick Greet won 26-14.

l Fairways 48 (6) Shipmates 20 (0): FAIRWAYS picked up six very useful points when they overcame Shipmates. Pam Toy, Hazel Smith and Anthea Hall won 22-8 and Chris Gill Lorna Locking and Barbara Slade had a 26-12 scorecard.

l Burtons 25 (0) Autos 31 (6): BURTONS versus Autos was close, but the latter claimed the points with wins for Alan Bontoft, Daniel Harrison and Norman Wright (16-13) and Janet Barton, Dave Gardner and Graham Slack (15-12).

l Vikings 33 (2) Highflyers 45 (4): JOE Carson, Terry Johns and Eric Lewis won the aggregate points for Highflyers (28-13) but Vikings’ Barbara Moor, Ray Moore and Ralph Sawer replied 20-17.
