Tennis stars hit the road

Youngsters at Boston Tennis Club have been hitting the road to compete in tournaments.

Henry Beesley and Joe Woolley competed in the Loughborough Winter Regional Tour in the 16 and under category.

Henry lost in the quarter-finals in a third set tie–break.

Joe reached the final but lost out 4-6, 6-7.

Paris Royal competed at the Huntingdon Mini Green Tournament and the Mini Green Mixed competition.

Up against some tough male opposition in her group, Paris was unlucky to have only one other female to play, where she narrowly missed out 4-5.

Matthew Gedney lost in the semis at the Northampton Winter Regional Tour Event in the 10 and under category, losing in the third set tie-break (4-10).

In the Bombay Brasserie Singles League, James Newton is heading the overall league table this month, ahead of Calum McCaig and Jeremy George-Jones.

In the Junior Yellow Ball League, Lucas East, Matthew Gedney and Joe Parla occupy the first three places.

Lucy Hull is the leading girl in this league and Alex Thorogood is the second-placed girl.

In the Junior Green Ball League, Thomas Hull, Bradley Worth and Paris Royal are the top three.

In the Junior Orange Ball League, William Cheer, Millie Alexander, Louise Sharp, Harvey Vickers and Matthew Dickens are the main contenders.

In the Junior Red Ball League, Serena Morrow is in a strong first place ahead of Isabel Wookey, Lucy Hopper, Libby Alexander, Tuula Sohngen and Paul Aranin.
