Boston Tennis Club youngsters have been helping Lincolnshire junior teams to promotions in the Aegon under 18s County Cup.

The event is contested by a total of 44 counties from England, Scotland and Wales, with teams split into 11 round-robin groups of four, with the teams playing each other over the three-day weekend.

The Lincolnshire boys competed at level 4 at Sunderland, while the girls competed at Redbridge at level six.

Boston’s Lewis Fisher, Henry Beesley, Dominic Beesley and Joe Woolley, helped the boys win their three matches, earning promotion to Division Three.

They beating East of Scotland without losing a rubber on Friday, Somerset 8-1 on Saturday and North of Scotland on Sunday.

Emily Hawkesworth, Dana Kenneally-Forrester and Victoria Beardsley helped the girls gain promotion in to group five, also gaining three wins.

The team beat Bedforshire 7-2 on the first day of the competition, North Wales on the Saturday and the Channel Islands 6-3 on Sunday.

In the Lincolnshire Mini Tennis Team Leagues, Boston B teams – Dominic Sharpe, Louise Sharpe, Devon Morgan, Thomas Piggins, Bethany Hayes, Isabelle Servonat, Jacob Felipes and George Pocklington - beat Tealby.

Boston C team – Serena Morrow, Rodrigo Quevedo, Joshua Brooks, Emily Stukins and James Gedney - narrowly lost out to Eastgate.

On Saturday, Boston A team play Tennis Buddies in their final match.
