Craig Thursby made his mark by winning the first round of the Boston Wheelers’ 10-league - clocking a time of 23 mins 07 secs.

He was almost a minute ahead of second-placed Martin White.

Wheeler Neil Booley completed the Etape du Dales 112 Miles Sportive on Sunday, completing the energy-sapping Yorkshire Dales course in a Gold standard time of 6 hrs 58 mins.

Earl Taylor continued to ride well in the Eastern Regionals MTB Series Sport Category, finishing 14th at Thetford Forest. Teammate Reece Tomlin finished in 37th.

Darren Smith took part at the Lincs Road Racing Association’s 10-Mile TT, and continues to improve by posting a time of 24-08.

Thursby rode well at the CAT 3/4 East Midlands Regional Championship Support Race on Sunday, staying with the leading group on the last climb.

Dan Carr struggled to keep pace at the hilly Thoresby Cycling Festival CAT 4 Road Race, Adrian Marshall and Adrian Hartog rode the Lincs Veteran Road Race 40-50 years series at Withern, while Martin Roberts rode the Marholm 72-Mile Sportive, Tim Kingswood rode the Tour of the Pennines Sportive and Ken Syrett completed Go Ride session two at the Peter Paine Sports Centre.
