After a very good start to the season, Boston Golf Club’s Rabbits’ section have suffered two defeats in a row.

The first was at home to Boston West, who fielded a strong side to take the match 4-2.

The next match was away at Spalding.

The hosts played some excellent golf - with some matches going to the last hole, and one match to the last putt of the game - as they won 4-2.

The Hospital Cup, played in balmy weather on Saturday, made a pleasant change and brought in some good golf that reflected the scores.

First was Graham Neal (17) with 42 points, ahead of runner-up Geoffrey Wand (16) on 37.

John Payne (20) scored 35 to come third.
