Girls from the artistic squad of Boston’s TJ Gym have retained their county title.

Members of the Boston club, based at the Princess Royal Sports Arena, competed in the Level Five and Level Four Lincolnshire County Team Championships.

Last year the TJ team won their first team title - the Level 5 championship.

And this year TJ repeated their success - retaining their shield.

The Level Five team consisted of Lillie Manning, Summer Rose, Mackenzie Hughes, and Gracie Chase.

They were competing against 14 other teams and 62 competitors.

Lillie scored the highest total throughout all the Level Five entries in both bars and on floor.

Teammate Gracie scored the highest over the whole level on the beam.

In the Level Four girls’ event, Katie Vickers, Romae Mackintosh, Jasmine Clare, Nyah Onurlu and Cherida Sohngen represented TJ.

They finished in a respectable second spot, coming close to emulating the Level Five team.

They were narrowly forced into second spot, finishing just 0.66 of a point behind the winners.

Romae scored highest points total in Level Four on bars and floor. She also recorded the second highest score on beam.
