Top players from the bowls world will be trying their luck at the Boston Open next weekend.
The annual competition will be staged for the fifth time on the rinks at Boston Indoor Bowls Club’s Rosebery Avenue venue on February 7 and 8.
Defending champion Nicky Brett is among the entries, and he will be keen to retain his title.
Since his victory at Boston, Brett has also gone on to win the Scottish Open and World Pairs titles.
But he faces stiff competition from fellow World Singles competitors Simon Skelton, Danny Denison and Les Gillett.
Boston’s Matt Whyers will also be in action, along with International Open entrants Phil Last and Danny Brown.
The competition will also include the best singles players from local clubs.
Play starts at 6.30pm next Friday and 8.30am the following day.
Entry to the club is free and spectators are welcome.
