G&S Racing Kawasaki’s Kevin Van Leuven is heading home to compete as Assen’s Cathedral of Speed.

Although the Wyberton-based team do not have a round of their Superstock 1000 championship in the Netherlands, Van Leuven and teammate Tom Fisher will both compete at the Dutch championship.

The Superstock 1000 series had a round of their championship as a support class to the British round of the World Superbike championship at Donington Park earlier in the year as the series is not on the race programme at Assen.

But the team like to support Van Leuven on home tarmac and travel to Assen every year for him and Fisher to contest the Dutch race that is included in the British Superbike programme... and give his home fans a chance to see him in action

Qualifying takes place on Saturday at 12.35 with a final session on Sunday morning at 8.40am.

The 14-lap race is scheduled to start at 1.10pm on Sunday.
