Boston Tennis Club’s Men’s Firsts and Ladies’ Seconds both won in the Lincolnshire Slazenger Veterans League.
Ray Frankish, James Newton, Chris Cook and Jeremy George-Jones helped the men win 5-3 against Louth Indoor while the ladies’ Joan Beale, Catherine Ellis, Claire Smith and Jane Hindmarch beat Tealby 5-3.
Boston’s Men’s Seconds - Richard Hart, Fred Calvert, Sev Smura and Jeremy George-Jones - lost out 5-3 at Grimsby’s St James.
In the Boston and District Winter League, Boston A’s Sam Felipes, Trent Hutson, Jake Sherrick and Connall Newton earned a 4-0 victory against Boston E’s James Waterfall, Paul Stevenson, Charles Cottrell and Robert Smith in a close contest.
There was a similar situation in the match between Boston B and Boston F in which Boston B only dropped one set despite David Cheer, Geoff Short, Callum Simmons and Andy Clamp being pushed by Zach McDonnell-Wodds, Richard Woods, Linda Barrow and Toby McDonnel-Woods.
The mini tennis players were also on form in The Lincolnshire Junior Winter Leagues. as all three Boston teams were back in action on Saturday.
Boston A’s Harvey Vickers, Alice Gamman, Lois Boothby, Hannah Willis, Joshua Brooks, Jacob Felipes, Alina Rubina and Daniels Goreliks beat Boston C’s Serena Morrow, Isabelle Servonat, William Tawton, Charlie Pickwell, Juste Narkute and Tanish Agrawal Esteve.
Boston B team – Alice Gamman, Will Shears, James Burrell, Poppy Gibbons, Georgina Cameron and William Pettit - had a 4-2 victory over Tennis Buddies.
