Matches in both the Aegon Team Tennis and the Lincolnshire Slazenger Doubles League continued over the Easter weekend for Boston Tennis Club.
Boston Men’s Aegon Second team beat Rustons 8-4.
The team of Callum Simmons, James Newton, Andy Clamp and Ryan Frankish competed well for the Sleaford Road club.
The Aegon girls’ under 14s team - Victoria Beardsley, Lucy Hull, Charlotte Priestley and Chloe Robinson - lost in their regional Premier match against Edgbaston, Birmingham, unable to earn a victory.
The boys’ under 14s A team had an 8-4 win over Grantham.
The team of Thomas Cozens, Matthew Gedney, Jake Sherrick and Lucas East earned valuable points for their league challenge.
The under 14s B team had a 12-0 win in an away match against Deeping.
The team was made up of Robert Hayes, Harry Foster, Connall Newton and Harry Baldry.
In the Slazenger Lincolnshire Doubles League, the Men’s Fifth team beat the Sixth team in the first match of the season for both of these teams.
In a close contest, Sev Smura, Richard Walker, Michal Chmielik, Phil Cosgriff, David Makins and Thomas Cozens were victorious.
Captain Robert Smith led the Sixth team which consisted of Bill Burnett, Lewis Wyatt, Joseph Parla, Terry Mastin and Rhys Thomas.
Last week the Boston Aegon Ladies B team of Emma Mastin, Charlotte Priestley, Jane Hindmarch and Joan Beale drew away from home against Woodhall Spa’s Tennis Buddies.
