BOSTON Wheelers’ 10-mile Time Trial league got off to good start - with Martin White coming out on top.
A stiff but not helpful wind greeted the 11 riders participating in week one of the event.
As well as Steve Elwood riding in his first ever time trial, it was good to see three riders who had ridden in the come-and-try-it night the previous week returning to have another go, with all of them improving their times.
Martin White staked his claim for this season’s trophy with a opening time off 24.14, which is only 13 seconds off his personal best.
Results: 1 Martin White 24.14, 2 Darren Smith 24.40, 3 Asa Elkington 24.42 (second claim), 4 Dave Grayson 25.53, 5 Ian Scott 26.10 (PT), 6 Pete Flint 26.12, 7 Alan Sharpe 27.09, 8 Jamie Dawson 27.12, 9 Steve Elwood (PT) 28.09, 10 Kenny Doig 29.55, 10 Simon Craft 30.37.
Dave Grayson and Darren Smith took part in the LRRA 17-mile Two-up TT, hosted by Spalding CC.
Despite cold and very windy conditions, the pair managed a good time of 43.09.
