Competing in the under 12 boys’ singles, William worked hard to make it two wins on day one of the tournament.

His second match was won 10-6 in a third-set tie-break, and secured William a place in the semi-finals.

Up against the number four seed, William won the first set 7-5 and comfortably won the second set, but facing the number one seed in the final was a bridge too far.
