Ben Wilson took park in the third and final British Superbike tests that took place at Oulton Park on Friday, recording a solid sixth place at the end of the day .

Speaking afterwards, Wilson said: “Thanks to my team EHA who did a great job today; the bike feels better every time I get on it.

“I am now turning my attention to have a good race this weekend.”

Wilson is riding an Aprilia this year for EHA Racing and experienced a strong points finish at Silverstone in round one of the National Superstock 1000 championship.

It’s on to round two now which is set for the technical Cheshire circuit of Oulton Park on Bank Holiday Monday, and the track time at last week’s test will have given him a great opportunity to find the right set up for the race.

Ben has won at Oulton Park on many on occasion in the past, but on a Supersport machine. This time he is on the more powerful Superstock bike and he is relishing the chance to put it on track under race conditions.

The timetable for the weekend is: Saturday - free practice 11.35am, first qualifying 3.35pm. Sunday - final qualifying 4.50pm. Monday - warm up 9.55am, 15 lap race 2.15pm.
