IT’S PARTY in the Park this weekend when the British Superbike championship pays its annual Bank Holiday weekend visit to Cadwell Park... and Ben Wilson is relishing the thought of racing on home tarmac in round eight of the Motorpoint British Supersport championship.

The 30-year-old Gearlink Kawasaki racer from Kirton is currently holding fourth place in the overall rider standings.

And he is desperate to secure his first race win of the current campaign in front of his huge army of fans and family.

Wilson has been on the podium on no less than six occasions this year, but the elusive race win has not yet come his way.

With two races to contest and 50 points up for grabs, there is everything to race for at the Lincolnshire circuit.

Wilson will be doing his best to snatch as many points as possible in order to move closer to the championship leader.

The weekend kicks off for Wilson on Friday when he will be taking part in the two free practice sessions, the first at 10.10am and the second at 1.55pm.

It is an early start for Ben on Sunday with the solitary qualifying session due on track at 9am followed by the 10-lap sprint race at 11.30am.

The feature race is on Monday and is scheduled to run over 16 laps around 4.30pm.
