Aaron hit by pump

TeamDRAPER's Aaron Clarke and Tommy Philp completed their respective races at Silverstone safely in the first rounds of the British Supersport and Superstock 600 championships on Sunday.

Clarke, from Kirton, qualified in 27th place and made a start to his 10-lap race in the National Superstock 600 class from the ninth row of the grid.

During the race he began to suffer from arm pump which hindered his progress,.

He eventually finished in 20th.

East Kirkby’s Philp qualified in 17th place to start the first of his two races in the British Supersport championship from the sixth row.

After two re-starts the sprint race was eventually abandoned, but Sunday’s feature race saw him finish 13th for three points.

The next round is at Oulton Park on April 30-May 2 .
