It was a dry day for action and, with 12 riders entered for the meeting, nothing was going to be easy.

Heat one saw Mickie ride to a race win after a last-lap dive for the lead into turn three, after trying to go round the outside for most of the race.

Heat two saw another good win from start to finish, the Wrangle youngster pulling away from rivals but the bike not quite running right.

A third win arrived in heat three, with a few changes made but the bike still not running perfectly.

In heat four the bike finally lost its power just as Mickie came up against championship leader Harry McGurk.

After another inspection it was discovered an exhaust bolt had broken off in the engine and had all come loose, sapping the power.

After a few changes and a tightening of the remaining bolt, the team had to hope the repairs would hold out for the rest of the meeting.

In heat five, Harry and Jordan Pallin, the top two riders in the class, shared the shale with Mickie.

He finished third this time around, meaning he had enough points to join his rivals in the A final.

Corban Pavitt joined them after winning the B final.

Into the A final, Harry took the early lead Jordan pushed him hard and Mickie in third, and that’s how it remained as the riders crossed the line.

The current championship standings sees Harry first on 99 points with Mickie 10 points behind.
