Boston’s top sporting talent is set to be recognised at an awards ceremony at the Assembly Rooms on Friday, February 7.
The awards had been planned for the night of December 6 but were postponed as Boston faced up to the impact of the worst floods in living memory.
The night, which will begin at 7pm at the landmark venue, will be hosted by BBC Lincolnshire breakfast show host Scott Dalton.
Editor Stephen Stray said: “We were disappointed not to be able to hold our popular sports awards in December but with people in the middle of tackling the impact of the flood it wouldn’t have been appropriate to carry on.
“Instead, we’ve waited until now so that the individuals and groups nominated for our awards can get the focus and praise they so richly deserve.
“We never fail to be impressed by the sporting talent in the borough and it’s good for us as a paper to be able to recognise that in this way.
“We look forward to seeing the awards being given out on February 7.”
Awards will be handed out on the night to Sports Personality of the Year, Team of the Year (sponsored by Chestnut Homes), Sportsman of the Year (sponsored by Moore Thompson), Sportswoman of the Year (sponsored by Pescod Square), Coach of the Year, Services to Sport, Junior Sportsman, Junior Sportswoman, Footballer of the Year (sponsored by the Pilgrim Lounge) and Junior Team of the Year.
