Sean Barnett hit an unbeaten 39 for Boston Cricket Club’s Third XI at Lindum on Saturday.
But it was not enough to help guide his side to victory in this South Lincs and Border League Division Two contest.
The hosts were put into bat but finished on 160-7.
In response, Boston fell 69 runs short, being dismissed for 91 in the 31st over.
Lindum began brightly, with openers John Gratrick and Jon Begley both reaching 40 runs before being dismissed by Lewis Holmes and Tom Appleyard respectively.
Appleyard continued his good form with the ball from the previous week, taking two further victims.
Shaun Moore claimed two further victims but good totals from Harry Keal (18), Sachitch Sreenivasan (18) and Robert Seeley (16) saw Lindum post 160-7.
Dave Gilding set Boston up nicely with 20 runs, but Barnett was the only other Boston player to reach double figures, seeing the side fall short.
In the R.P. Smith Friendly League, a Boston XI went down by 140 runs at Louth.
The hosts posted 267-3, with Boston dismissed for 127.
