County awards for gymnasts

Boston Gymnastics Academy saw action at the Lincolnshire Individual Apparatus, age group and all around County Championships in levels four, three and two.

The event was held at Witham Hill Gymnastics Academy in Lincoln, where the academy saw Tallulah Hughes, Kenzie Burrell, Gemma Amos and Ruby-Mae Hardstaff all being named overall county champions.

Boston took a total of eight gymnasts, one competed in Level Two, one in Level Three and six in Level Four.

At Level Four, in the age nine years, Tallulah Hughes finished first with an overall score of 45.20, crowning her county champion.

She was also the county beam champion after coming first over all age groups in Level Four with a score of 12.87.

In the age 10-11 years Kenzie Burrell was crowned overall county champion with a score of 49.10. She also picked up the county bars trophy after scoring 13.03.

She finished third overall on floor with a score of 12.20 and second overall on the beam, scoring 12.73.

In the age 12-13 years group, Katie-Marie Parker finished second in her age group with an overall score of 46.87, placing her fourth overall on the day in Level Four.

She finished fourth on the floor, scoring 12.10 and fifth on the beam, scoring 11.00.

Clara Dunbavin scored 46.13 overall and this placed her third in her age group and sixth overall on the day.

She also finished as county floor champion with a score of 12.60 and finished second on vault overall, scoring 11.90.

In the age 14+ years group, Gemma Amos finished as overall county champion in her age group, scoring 46.17.

That score also placed her fifth overall age groups.

She also finished third overall on the vault with a score of 11.87.

Colby Riley finished fifth in her age group, scoring 44.53 and also came fourth overall on the vault with a score of 11.83 and sixth on the bars, scoring 12.07.

At Level Three, Ruby-Mae Hardstaff came away with overall county champion trophy after scoring 47.43. She was also crowned county floor champion, scoring 12.30, finishing second on bars with a score of 12.00 and fourth on the beam, scoring 11.50.

At Level Two, Tegan Rogers finished second overall, scoring 41.53 and was also crowned county bar champion, scoring 9.23. She also finished second on vault with a score of 11.93, third on the floor with 10.53 and fifth on the beam.
