Harriet Housam rows to fourth place in Great Britain trials
Harriet Housam.
Boston Rowing Club youngster Harriet Housam proved she is a star in the making after finishing fourth at the Great Britain trials.
Competing on the familiar Witham course, as the Carlton Road club hosted the event, Harriet quickly proved that she can hold her own against the top rowers in her age category, demonstrating her true sculling potential.
GB’s top 60 under 18s girls were selected from hundreds of potential rowers, having already undergone testing on the water and with indoor rowing machines.
Harriet was ranked 20th at the start of the 5km race from the Boston side of Langrick Bridge to Boston Rowing Club.
But her time of 21 mins 45.0 secs secured her fourth place.
