Sibsey win third match of season

Sibsey A recorded their third win of the season in the Boston and District Table Tennis League’s A.D. Dickinson Division Two.

They won 8-2 at Lodgers D, Tony Kime being the only Lodgers player to record a singles victory, beating Sam Langford.

Phil Coote and Fred Calvert won their singles.

Wrangle B are soaring up the table, helped by a 9-1 success against two-man Graves Park E.

Peter Bell beat Tim Sampson, but that was as good as it got, David Butler and Tony Hall winning their singles.

Penmaen C hosted Lodgers H and lost 7-3.

Gavin Read won his singles for Lodgers, while Dave Smith ensured that Penmaen didn’t come out of the match empty-handed, beating Simon Raistrick in straight sets and Steve Marshall in four legs.

Dave then teamed up with Chris Cooke to win the doubles.

Leaders Graves Park B won 7-3 at Sibsey B, ending the hosts’ unbeaten start to the season.

Steve Hill won his three for Sibsey, but Dave Graham, Mike Freeston and Alan Reetham won the match.
