A tied match between Boston and Woodhall Spa (see report on facing page) was one of the highlights of Saturday’s Readers Lincolnshire ECB Premier League fixtures.

There was also a last ball win for leaders Grantham and more than 500 runs were scored at Grimsby.

Market Deeping moved back into second place, 10 points behind Grantham whose outright win over Nettleham came off the final ball of the innings after it looked as if the Lincoln side would hang on for the extra points.

The top five teams, who are separated by just 19 points, have opened up a gap on the rest, with sixth-placed Bourne now 21 behind Bracebridge Heath in fifth.

Winless Boston are ninth in the table, but only nine points adrift of Bourne.

They will be hoping for a good result on Saturday when they entertain the league’s bottom side, Nettleham.

Skegness 159-9, Bourne 161-9 (Morgan 70no, Jordan 6-29)
