Rogers is on the pace

Thursday, 1pm - BOSTON rider Paul Rogers is keeping up with the pace-setters in the GSXR Trophy.

The 37-year-old is currently sixth in the championship following four rounds.

Racing at Lincolnshire's Cadwell Park at the weekend, Paul claimed sixth spot.

A

fter qualifying in seventh, his times improved as he gained a place.

"I'm happy with the way things are going," said Paul, from Fairfax Close.

"I'm around about where I want to be in the championship at the moment.

"It'll be nice if I can now force my way into the top five."

After seven years away from racing, Paul returned last season to claim 16th place in the championship.

"I'm gelling with it a bit more now," added Paul, who rides a GSXR 600.

Round five, scheduled for Cadwell a day later on Sunday was a washout.

However, Paul returns to action in three weeks' time when the next round will be held at Donington Park, a support race for the World Superbikes Championships.
