Boston Rugby Club turned back the clock to welcome back former players for the Presidents’ Match.

The final contest of the season saw the Blue and Whites’ First XV take on a select XV of past players.

Paul and Tom Jarvis, along with the likes of Frankie Cannon and Rhys Gosling returned to the Boardsides for the clash, which finished 14-12 to the current Boston XV.

“It was a very competitive game and a very good game to watch,” said club chairman Martyn Miles.

“It was followed by a cocktail party, which was a good way for the club to finish the year.”

Willem Jonker’s side now turn their attentions back to the Midlands 4 East (North) campaign.

The Blue and Whites may have began the campaign with a 12-point deduction, but they are currently second in the table, unbeaten after 11 matches and one place behind leaders Skegness, with a game in hand.

They now host fifth-placed Nottinghamians on Saturday (2.15pm).
