Away win remains elusive

Boston Rugby Club’s away form continues to be a missing piece in a puzzle as, despite their best endeavours, they failed to claim an elusive away victory at Ashfield on Saturday.

For coach Willem Jonker and club Captain Craig Dowse, the players available on the day battled hard to at least come away with a deserved one point in a 10-3 defeat.

That arrived courtesy of only losing by a margin of seven points, against a traditionally strong Ashfield side, who moved up to third in the Midlands 3 East (North).

The valuable point saw Boston retain seventh in the league.

On Saturday, Boston entertain Aylestone St James, who lie ninth in the standings.

Kick off at the Princess Royal Sports Arena will be at 2.15pm.
