Battling display rewarded with winning finale

BOSTON U9s travelled to Stamford to play against the hosts, Sleaford and Peterborough.

They played Sleaford in the first match. At one try each Boston were encamped in Sleaford’s half but could not find the winning try. A sucker-punch breakaway try in the last few seconds condemned Boston to a 2-1 defeat.

Boston then played a double header against a very well organised and skilled Stamford side. They fought hard and drew the first game 2-2 but were then narrowly beaten 5-4 in the second game.

Boston finally played Peterborough and, although there were some tired legs, Boston prevailed with a 7-6 victory.
