Boston Rugby Club move up to second without playing.
Willem Jonker.
Boston Rugby Club moved up to second in the Midland 4 East (North) this week... without even playing.
This meant Boston were handed all five points by the league, which saw them move to second on Thursday.
But third-placed Ashfield looked on course to leapfrog them on Saturday.
However, they suffered a shock defeat at home to Nottinghamians this weekend.
That means the side, led by Willem Jonker - who began the season with a 12-point deduction - remain on course for their targeted promotion.
Boston remain unbeaten after nine matches at Midlands 4 level this campaign, following thier promotion last season.
Leaders Worksop are currently two points ahead of Boston.
Boston Rugby Club’s minis section have had a great response to their recruitment weekends.
In fact, so much so that they are extending the offer.
The past two weeks have seen youngsters (up to the age of 12) offered the chance of free coaching and intro sessions to rugby at the Princess Royal Sports Arena.
This will be extended for another week, including this Sunday.
From 10.30am this week, youngsters can again be introduced to the sport.
