Boston Rugby Club’s Colts earned a 26-24 victory at Sleaford Colts.
After a slow start, Sleaford opened the scoring after gathering the ball from a lineout and driving for the line.
Boston started to find some rhythm in response and as their possession increased gaps started to appear in the Sleaford midfield.
From a tapped penalty it was Ayo Adenaike who went over close to the posts with Matt Bray converting.
Sleaford then struck back to lead 14-7 at the interval.
From the re-start Boston’s expansive handling game soon had Sleaford on the back foot.
Bray got a touch down in the corner before James Andrews scored, following a stolen lineout and a sweeping passing move.
Sleaford then regrouped and forced their way over the Boston line to level at 19-19.
Olli Balsom then sprinted clear to regain Boston’s lead before Sleaford scored the last try of the match.
However, the missed conversion saw the Blue and Whites claim victory.
