BOSTON Rugby Club coach Willem Jonker wants to finish the season on a high... by lifting the NLD Vase.

On Sunday, the curtain will come down on the Blue and Whites’ campaign. And Jonker wants to add more silverware to the trophy cabinet, to cap off his successful first season at the Boardsides.

“It would be a great way to finish the season,” he said.

“We want to win it. We want to win every game we play in.

“It would round things off nicely.”

South African Jonker has already guided Boston to the Midlands 4 East (North) title, losing just once all campaign with his young side.

Saturday’s opponents will be Midlands 5 rivals Castle Donington.

The Blue and Whites have already beaten their opponents heavily in two league contests this season.

In October, they left Leicestershire with a 41-13 success.

This was followed up in February with a home hammering that saw Boston win 83-0.

However, Jonker is taking his opponents’ threat seriously.

He said: “It’s a completely different game, so we will have to be at our best.

The clash will be at Kesteven Rugby Club, Grantham.
