Boston Rugby Club will be hoping to make a point - or more - when they return to action following their Christmas break.
The Blue and Whites host Midlands 3 North (East) rivals Southwell at the Boardsides on Saturday.
And Willem Jonker’s side will be desperate to make more of an impact than when the teams last met.
Southwell earned a 19-0 victory at the expense of Boston back in September.
Back then the Blue and Whites were playing just their second match at Midlands 3 level.
Following on from back-to-back promotions, Jonker’s young side were struggling to find their feet in their new division.
The contest is also the only league match in which Boston have failed to score so far this campaign.
But as the season has progressed, the Blue and Whites have grown in stature and confidence.
Their last defeat came in November’s 43-18 match at home to title challengers Lincoln.
Since then, Boston have beaten Mellish and Nottingham Moderns in the league, as well as drawing at fierce rivals Skegness.
Their final match before the winter break - the NLD Shield clash with Worksop - was awarded to Boston when their opponents failed to raise a full team.
At the halfway stage of the season, Jonker’s side currently sit seventh in the standings, 14 points behind fifth-placed Southwell.
Kick off will be at 2.15pm.
